Check out my 'I am faaaallliiin' picture in higher resolution on my Flickr stream.

I am an Embedded Software Engineer working in Valeo Egypt and I happen to have big appetite for Web Development and all technology stuff.

I graduated in 2005 as a Communications and Electronics Engineering from Ain Shams University.

I recently started my new life entitled "happily ever after" with my wife.

Flickr now hosts my photography skills, check'em out

Enjoy my stumbles ;)

From the page: "LINQ to XSD creates .NET classes with much better fidelity than what's created with (the aging) XSD.exe. Now, of course, XSD.exe makes classes for XmlSerialization, while LINQ to XSD makes classes that use an XDocument (not XmlDocument) as the backing store, so we are comparing Apples to Carburetors, but if your goal is to get Objects that come from an XML source, you should take a look at LINQ to XSD. For example, if I take one of the goofiest schemas, OFX, a financial services schema (disclosure, I was the Vendor Committee Chair for OFX for a few years so I'm to blame a bit) and run it through LinqToXml.exe, here's some differences."

From the page: "The LINQ to XSD preview illustrates our initial thinking on a strongly-typed programming experience over LINQ to XML. Instead of working with untyped XML trees, LINQ to XSD allows you to program in terms of strongly-typed classes, generated based on an XSD schema. The LINQ to XSD project is still incubation, but we are looking at ways to incorporate its functionality into future Visual Studio and .NET Framework releases. We are very much interested in gathering your feedback on the product, so please download it, give it a try, and send us some feedback. "

From the page: "A quorum of developers have pitched in on a SourceForge project to maintain and further develop Dave Raggett's excellent HTML Tidy program. We have two primary goals. First, to provide a home where all the patches and fixes that folks contribute can be collected and incorporated into the program. Second, a library form of Tidy has been created to make it easier to incorporate Tidy into other software."

I have made good progress in the time I have put into it. I now have the XML document format defined for the initial release. I am using XSD to constrain the XML document and to provide Intellisense as I write the XML documents. I am then using XSL and CSS to display the documentation in the JavaScript Browser which is using the WebBrowser control for the viewer."

To get the most value from this paper, you need to be familiar with the XML features in SQL Server 2005. For background material, see XML Support in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and XML Best Practices for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on the Microsoft Development Network (MSDN). "

From the page: "The xml data type lets you store XML documents and fragments in a SQL Server database. An XML fragment is an XML instance that is missing a single top-level element. You can create columns and variables of the xml type and store XML instances in them. Note that the stored representation of xml data type instances cannot exceed 2 GB."

.NET 3.5 now includes a JSON serializer in DataContractJsonSerializer. This useful little component makes it pretty painless to create JSON from objects and back.

From the page: "LINQ to XSD is the code name of an incubation project that aims to provide .NET developers with support for typed XML programming on top of LINQ to XML. While the LINQ to XML programmer operates on generic XML trees, the LINQ to XSD programmer operates on typed XML trees -- instances of .NET types that model the XML types of a specific XML schema (XSD). LINQ to XSD can be used whenever you have an XML schema available, or you are willing to infer a schema from the XML data at hand. LINQ to XSD is integrated into Visual Studio; so you just tag an XML schema as an `LINQ to XSD schema', build your project, and the automatically derived object model is then part of your solution -- just as if XML schemas were .NET types. The derived object model enforces various validation constraints imposed by the underlying XML schema."
